Analysis of Yupo synthetic sheets

Anneke at Strathlynn – oil on Yupo

Yupo is a synthetic paper with a huge attitude.

In brief a sheet of Yupo is robust and tough.

It will not tear or rip unless nicked to begin a break.

It is commonly used on produce labels, tags and signs in industry and many other areas like bank notes and printing brochures.

No trees are felled to make Yupo and it burns to leave a very small pile of ash.

Strong solvents will not bother it much and it is water resistant.
